For more than a decade, we learned in public, running an actively managed macro portfolio with real entries, real exits, and real sizing. The early years were fine. Not great. The kind of results that don't make headlines and don't let you quit either.

So we kept going. We kept learning, kept refining, kept getting things wrong in new and more instructive ways. Somewhere along the line it began to click: the market doesn't just test your thesis. It tests you. We stopped chasing the next big call and built something we could repeat: a process.

The last few years tell a different story. Performance became consistent. Consistent enough that hedge funds and family offices started to reach out. Today, we run real capital backed by sophisticated institutional investors.

Foundation Macro grew out of that.

We built our careers on research, analysis, and evidence. But the lessons that mattered most never came from a spreadsheet. They came from the room: members who poked holes in our ideas, offered the perspective we'd missed, and sat with us through brutal drawdowns when nothing else helped. That's where conviction gets tested and blind spots surface. That community was the best part of our last venture, Macro Ops. At Foundation Macro, it is the whole point.
